Gdday  hooray, how are you? So what’s all this about?

Im just going to ask you a few questions, ok? Mmm, I see.

You are a bit of a mystery man. Let’s keep it that way.

How many run’s have you done Hooray? Lion City almost a 1000, Harriets 800 odd, Monday 20 years but they don’t keep records.

That’s a lot of hashing, no wonder you short cut. So what’s the plot, where is this going?

Just sit back on the couch and relax. I have been a member of Mother Hash since  2001, I ran with Seletar for 6 months but started to become an alcoholic. I have run with Sunday as well.

Which Hash do you enjoy the most? They all have different cultures, in fact most are lacking in culture altogether! But I like the hashes with pearls, hence I don’t run with the men only to often. You have to have something nice to look at! I don’t want to offend anyone, so I won’t make a judgement on which I think is the best hash.

How did you get your name? Well, my name is Ray, just like a ray of sunshine. My name could have been Stingray. But I think I got Hooray from the Harriets, they were trying to get rid of me and said Hooray as in goodbye.

Hooray? That was  very polite of them. 800 odd runs with the Harriets? I have done some strange runs with the Harriets, but 800 odd runs is a lot. I like to admire the harritets in their short shorts, especially pink ones. The scenery is very nice on a Wednesday. I have done all the hashes in Singapore you know. I did a joint run with TPHhh, last Tuesday was an orange run, recently theer was a Dutch Run…

Hope there weren’t too many dykes on that run. Where is your favourite run site? Anywhere around Bukit Timah nature reserve. Contrary to what people may think, I like a run that is tough, ballsy and up and down.

Your most memorable run?  That would be any of the runs before they built the freeways, in those days there was only the Niccoll Highway, so no PIE, SLE etc cutting through the good run sites.

Favourite on on? Brewerkz. I introduced Brewerkz to the hash you know.

Most Admired hasher? I am too busy short cutting to notice!

Best On On? The Balford Hotel, Sentosa. It was back in the early 90’s, they gave us a cold towel, free flow of beer, international buffet and we swam in the pool.

Most memorable moment? That would have to be the old girls flashing their boobs when they were younger. They use to get them out all the time. No names though!

If you weren’t hashing, what would you be doing? I would have been a brain surgeon.

The way you short cut, thanks heavens you never became a brain surgeon! Could be a few malpractice cases going on.

Any not so good hash moments? Only when people lose sight of the principles of the hash, that is to have fun. I would not like to see a club go bankrupt through drinking though.

How could you improve the Hash? More gregarious. Maybe have a welcome pack for new members – hash shirt, handbook, magazine, committee members etc.

On the hash you should ……… partake of all the rituals! Everyone should make an effort to go to the on on.
