When did you first join the Hash?

I’ve been a member of Lion City for 4 years.

When was your first run?

It was probably Upper Thompson Rd, before Venus drive, somewhere down the road, ….. (shake of the head)… I got the bus there and have no idea. Next week I got a ride with Shoe Shopper. I still had no idea (neither did she) but it was better than the bus.

How did you get your name?

It was in Bali, I had long scraggy hair down my back, hadn’t shaved for weeks and looked a little unkempt.( Also got on well with the local gals?)So they named me after Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

What a great cartoon series that was! Scooby Doo, where are youuuu?

Most memorable moments?

The 25^th Anniversary Run at Turf City. Afterwards George’s Band was playing a song by Jet, I joined in on a line and sang ‘Are you going to be my f*# *ing gal tonight?’ I was a bit smashed. I know it would have carried a long way because when Shoe Shopper and I were setting the run we could hear the band doing a sound check 2kms away!

Also on my 40^th birthday Run, that seems a long, long time ago, I was a bit pissed when I started setting the run out near Bukit Timah Railway Station. Shoe Shopper helped me set the run and we took off with a bottle of champers which we demolished in the middle of the jungle. I left the empty there to help mark the trail. After the run I continued to get a bit more pissed, then in the Circle I met a beautiful girl called Daisy. It was a superb day. Someone tried to steal Daisy from me a few days later but she came back. Unfortunately Daisy met a sad ending with a severe puncture! Poor Daisy. (Daisy was an ‘obliging’ blow up cow that Shaggy received as a present)

What do you like the most about Hashing?

I get to have a run and drink as well. In fact, vast quantities of beer seem to make me run faster.

What do you dislike?

When I was GM, there were many people who wouldn’t be a Mystery Whip. Everyone else makes a fool of themselves, why not them too! Everyone needs to chip in. Also I dislike the Hares being criticised, if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything. That’s what my mother use to tell me.

Favourite Run site?

(Thinks carefully while scratching his stubble) All good.

Anyone you particularly admire on the Hash?

Uncle at the Bali Hash, he had his 80^th birthday, is still running and plays the bugle on the Hash.

How would you improve the Hash?

Have Goody Bags doing the splits more, and maybe get in a few pole dancers.

Favourite On On site?

The Good Good Eating House in 6^th Ave, you can get smashed there quietly with your mates and they have goo dim sum. (very loud burp emits from SD2)

On the Hash you should………just enjoy it because it is the best part of our week.

If you weren’t Hashing, you would be……….( smiles, twitches his head suggestively) possibly in Geylang, at a coffee shop in Lorong 14, possibly at shop 12D. possibly!

Any food you would not eat?

Well, I wouldn’t eat any here because the restaurant’s closed! But who would eat fish head curry? Really, I mean, someone else gets to eat the rest of the fish which is the good part and all you get is the head, just throw on some curry sauce and call it a meal. And how can you order take away fish head n’ chips, be very hard to wrap it up in newspaper like we do in England.

Any words of wisdom to leave us with?

Forgive me Father,

No, I’ve never been that far back!
